Fund Accounting and Management


Socially Responsible Investment Portfolio – The Foundation invests all funds according to the Social Principles of The United Methodist Church as described in The Book of Discipline and the Statement of Investment Guidelines published by the General Council on Finance and Administration of The United Methodist Church.

Pooled Investments with Wisconsin Foundation – The MNUMF funds are deposited with the Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation. Pooling funds from many church-related entities leverages investment opportunities available to larger funds.

Revised Investment and Administrative Fee (all inclusive) – start April 1, 2019

  • Equity Pool: professional investment management & sub-accounting – 105bp
  • Fixed-Income Pool: professional investment management & sub-accounting – 75bp
  • All accounts: custodial services, transaction fees, manager monitoring, reporting & oversight – 15bp

Fund Accounting – Quarterly statements and 24/7 online month-end statements are included with investment management. Reports include: beginning balance, additions, distributions, interest and dividend income, gains and losses and ending balance.

Distribution from Funds – Distributions are made at month end. Requests for distributions must be submitted to the MNUMF by the 20th of the month. There are numerous options for automatic distributions.
