The Long Road

Local churches, boards and agencies within the Minnesota Annual Conference may have existing investment accounts with other groups, or they may be interested in account setup.

The Foundation is here to assist you by enabling your group to make the best investment with minimal risk while maintaining socially responsible investment standards with the financial resources you have available.

When choosing the Foundation to house your investment, you join a larger pool which allows significant investment opportunity and better rewards. By contacting Foundation staff, you are making the right choice to maneuver your future into a solid and uncompromising direction.

With a call or e-mail from you, our staff will set up a time to come meet with your investment/finance committee and provide the details that will show how investing with the MNUMF adds value to your local church or organization.

Our meeting with you will involve an assessment of your church organization’s needs as well as a review of the services provided by MNUMF including fund accounts, fund performance and fund accounting.

The ProgramMNUMF Pooled Fund

The Minnesota United Methodist Foundation partners with the Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation to offer an opportunity to participate in an investment fund designed specifically for local churches, conference agencies and church-related institutions. This fund is invested in our professionally managed equity pool, and in our fixed income pool which is primarily U.S. Government Agency and Corporate Securities. A competitive investment fee and diversification of investments offer the possibility of maximizing investment return at a lower cost. The fee includes all legal, administrative, investment and auditing for each account. There is no cost to deposit or withdraw funds.

The Minnesota United Methodist Foundation is committed to socially responsible investing in accord with the Social Principles of The United Methodist Church as listed in The Book of Discipline. We adhere to the General Board of Pensions and Health Benefits Portfolio Screening Guidelines whereby the Foundation will not knowingly invest in companies earning significant revenues from gambling or the manufacture, sale or distribution of alcoholic beverages, tobacco-related products, weapons or pornography.
